These rain boots get the job done without looking like cheap plastic boots. They are water proof and the soles have good traction for slippery snow and ice. Overall, they are well made and look attractive. My only reservation is that they are a bit shorter than I expected... I had anticipated knee-high boots but these come to mid-calf, just like ordinary rain boots.
I am an 8 and I ordered an 8 and it was a great fit. They are roomy enough for thick socks and tucked-in jeans, even with my larger calves. There are straps on the side that can be adjusted somewhat, but not to a great extent.
